Import a QuickBooks invoice into scope

On the project's Scope tab, click Import a QuickBooks invoice and choose the invoice's PDF. Sora Build reads it in your browser and matches each line to the catalogue. Nothing is added until you confirm. This reads a PDF; it doesn't connect to QuickBooks.

  1. Open the project's Scope tab and click Import a QuickBooks invoice.
  2. Choose the invoice PDF you saved from QuickBooks.
  3. Check each line. Confident match means it found the catalogue item; Check this match means look again; No match means it couldn't find one.
  4. Change the match if needed, or mark a line Skip this line. Lines already on the job show Already in scope.
  5. Click Add N to scope.

The PDF is read in your browser. At most, only the line descriptions are sent for matching, never the amounts. Office and up can import.

If it finds no lines

A scanned invoice has no text to read. On paid plans, use Read with AI instead, which also reads phone photos. See The invoice reader.

There's no live connection to QuickBooks. Save the invoice as a PDF from QuickBooks and import that.
