Questions

Asked and answered

Does Sora Build take a cut of client payments?

A small one. Sora Build charges 0.5% of each online payment in Canadian dollars, at most CA$100 per payment, taken from what you receive. US-dollar payments carry no Sora Build fee. Your client pays only the invoice amount. Stripe's standard fees are 2.9% + CA$0.30 per card payment and 1% + CA$0.40 (at most CA$5) per pre-authorized debit in Canada, and 2.9% + US$0.30 per card payment and 0.8% (at most US$5) per ACH debit in the US. Stripe charges its fees to your own Stripe account, and Settings › Client payments shows what you receive on an example invoice.

Do I need a Stripe account already?

No. An admin sets up a Stripe account for your company from Settings, and Stripe walks you through verifying the business and adding a bank account for payouts.

Which countries are supported?

Companies in Canada and the United States, invoicing in Canadian or US dollars.

Who handles refunds and disputes?

Your company does, in its own Stripe Dashboard, since the payment is made to your account.
