AI features
Read an invoice with AI
On a project's Scope tab, click Import invoice, choose the file and click Read with AI. It reads a PDF or a phone photo, scans included, and lays the lines out matched to your catalogue for you to check.
The invoice reader turns a trade's invoice or quote into scope lines, even when it's a scan or a photo.
- Open the project's Scope tab and click Import invoice.
- Choose the invoice PDF or photo.
- Click Read with AI. It can take up to a minute.
- Check each line. Each one shows Confident match, Check this match or No match. Pick Skip this line for any you don't want.
- Click Add to scope. The button shows how many lines you picked.
What it can read
- PDF, JPEG, PNG or WEBP, including phone photos.
- PDFs up to 8 MB and 20 pages. Images up to 7 MB.
The file is sent to our AI provider to read it. Nothing is added to scope until you confirm.
Without AI, Import invoice still reads PDFs with selectable text, right in your browser. Scanned PDFs and photos need Read with AI, which comes with the paid plans.

- How does AI handle my data?AI only runs when someone clicks an AI button, and it only sees what that person could already see. The request goes to our AI provider, which doesn't train on it, and we don't keep a copy of what's sent or what comes back.
