Construction scheduling software: A schedule that moves when the job does

Construction scheduling software with a Gantt timeline, linked tasks and templates for homes and commercial work. Plan on workdays and drag to reschedule.

Example timeline for a sample home: phases and tasks as bars across the weeks, linked where one task waits for another, colored by trade.

Scheduling at a glance

  • One-click undo

Every move can be undone, so a what-if costs nothing.

  • Counted in workdays

Durations skip weekends, and every date lands on a workday.

  • Five views, one plan

Timeline, calendar, board, table and list. A change in one shows in all of them.

Linked tasks

Framer running late? Drag it and see what moves.

Link the tasks that wait on each other. When framing slips two days, drag it, and roofing, windows and everything after show where they'll land before you let go.

  • See the knock-on effect before you drop
  • Push the tasks that wait for it too, or move just the one
  • Shift a whole selection a day earlier or later

Example: a framing task dragged two workdays later, with the tasks that wait for it showing where they'll move.

Templates

Start from a template, not a blank page

Pick a home or commercial template and a start date, and every phase and task is laid out for you. Save any job's schedule as a template for the next one.

  • Two home templates and a medical office template included
  • Bring templates in from Excel, MS Project or Primavera as CSV
  • Leave tasks out or change durations before you apply

Example: the Use a schedule template dialog, with a single-family home template and a start date picked.

Questions

Asked and answered

Does it have a Gantt chart?

Yes. The timeline is a Gantt chart: a bar for each task, links between them and today marked. The same schedule also shows as a calendar, board, table or list.

Which link types are supported?

Finish-to-start in every project, with a gap or overlap in days. Commercial projects add start-to-start, finish-to-finish and start-to-finish, each with lag.

Can I use my own schedule templates?

Yes. Use the templates that come with Sora Build, save a project's schedule as a template, or upload one as a CSV exported from Excel, MS Project or Primavera.

Does it work for commercial jobs?

Yes. Commercial projects add critical-path highlighting and locked baselines to the same schedule.
