Set up a draw schedule
On a home's Billing tab, click Set up draws to start from the usual draws, tied to that home's milestones, or Add by hand. Each draw is a percent of the contract or a fixed amount. When its milestone is done, the draw is ready to bill.
Draw schedules are on residential projects (homes). Office and up can set them up.
- Open the home and choose Billing (under More).
- Click Set up draws to start from the usual schedule, tied to this home's milestones. Or click Add by hand, which starts with a 10% Deposit.
- For each draw, set a name, a percent of the contract or a fixed amount, and the Milestone that unlocks it.
- Adjust them to your contract, then save.
Percent draws need the home's contract price to work out an amount. If your percent draws don't add up to 100%, you'll see a warning.
Billing a draw
Each draw moves from Waiting on the milestone to Ready to bill when its milestone is marked done, then to Invoiced and Paid. When one is ready, click New invoice › The draw that's ready. Invoiced draws can't be removed.
On commercial projects, bill with Share of the contract instead. See Create and send an invoice.
