Schedules and tasks
Add tasks and update their status
Press C anywhere to add a task. Open a task to set its status: Not started, In progress, Blocked or Done. Choosing Blocked asks for a reason, so everyone can see what the job is waiting on.
Add a task
- Press C, or on a phone tap + in the bottom bar.
- Type the task name and, if you like, the dates, who it's assigned to and the phase. More options shows the rest.
- Click Add task. Turn on Add another to keep going.
Statuses
- Not started: scheduled, no work yet.
- In progress: the crew is on it.
- Blocked: waiting on something. Pick a reason (Inspection, Material, Weather, Waiting on a trade, Waiting on a decision or Other), add a note if you like, then click Mark blocked. Moving off Blocked clears the reason.
- Done: finished and checked. Click Mark done in the task.
In the task
Click a task to open it on the side (on a phone it opens full screen). Set Status, % done, Assigned to, the trade partner, Phase, dates and duration, add notes, and see its history.
The … menu has Duplicate, Move to phase…, Convert to milestone, Shift dates… and Archive, which you can undo. A milestone is a moment, not work, like a permit issued. Inspections and deliveries show their own icon.
Field users can add and update tasks on the projects they're on, unless their project role is Can view. Viewers can look but not change anything.
