What can AI do in Sora Build?
On paid plans, AI drafts weekly project updates, sums up comment threads and drafts replies, and reads trade invoices into scope lines. Everything it writes is a draft you check before anything is saved or sent.
AI in Sora Build helps with writing and reading. It never acts on its own.
- Weekly updates: drafts the week's update from the schedule, for your team or your client. See Weekly updates.
- Thread summaries and replies: Summarize and Draft reply on comment threads, Draft details on approval requests and Draft note on invoices. See Thread summaries and replies.
- Invoice reader: Read with AI turns an invoice PDF or a photo of one into scope lines. See Read an invoice with AI.
Every result is marked as a draft with "Check it before you use it." Nothing is sent or saved until you accept it.
Who sees the AI buttons
- AI comes with the paid plans. On Free, AI buttons show a Paid badge and explain how to upgrade.
- Owners, admins and Office users can use it. Field and Viewer users don't see the buttons.
- If an admin has turned AI off for the company, the buttons are hidden for everyone.

- How does AI handle my data?AI only runs when someone clicks an AI button, and it only sees what that person could already see. The request goes to our AI provider, which doesn't train on it, and we don't keep a copy of what's sent or what comes back.
- How much AI can we use?Paid plans come with a monthly AI allowance, shown under AI assistant on Settings › Billing & plan. It's shared by every company on your billing account and starts again on the first of each month.
