Schedules and tasks
Save a baseline and compare plans
A baseline is a saved copy of every task's dates. On commercial projects, open the Gantt and choose Baseline › Save baseline…; the Gantt then shows the planned dates next to today's. Homes keep their first plan automatically as the Original plan.
Save one (commercial projects)
- Open the schedule in Gantt.
- Click Baseline, then Save baseline….
- Confirm. Baselines are named Baseline 1, Baseline 2 and so on, and earlier ones stay.
The Office, Admin and Owner roles can save baselines.
Compare
- Baseline › Show planned dates draws the saved dates next to the live bars.
- Compare with picks which baseline to show. The newest is used until you pick another.
- Display can add Baseline variance to each task.
Every project at once
Planning › Baselines lists every saved baseline with its project, who saved it, and its finish variance: how many workdays the last finish has moved since it was saved. It shows in the sidebar once you have commercial projects.
Homes
Homes don't have the Baseline menu. When you create a home from a template, its first dates are kept as the Original plan, and the Overview compares progress against it.

- Residential and commercial projectsEvery project is a home (residential) or a commercial project, chosen when you create it. Homes get a Timeline and draw schedules. Commercial projects get a Gantt, phases, the critical path, baselines and every link type. The kind can't be changed later.
