Getting started
Find your way around
The left rail takes you to Projects, Calendar, Reports and Settings. Under Projects are Home, My work, All projects, the Directory, your schedule templates and each project. Press ⌘K (Ctrl K on Windows) to search for any project, task or company.
The left side
- Projects: Home (what needs your attention), My work, All projects, Documents (the company library and every project's documents) and Directory (your trade partners and subcontractors). Under Planning are Schedule templates, Workload and, once you have commercial projects, Baselines. Your projects are listed below.
- Calendar: tasks, milestones, inspections and deliveries across your projects.
- Reports: Overview, Schedule and Trades. For the Office role and up.
- Settings: your profile and preferences, plus company settings for admins.
Inside a project
Tabs run along the top, starting with Overview and Schedule. Homes show Client and Team next; commercial projects show Phases. The rest, like Scope, Billing and History (Audit trail on commercial), sit under More. You only see what your role allows.
The top bar
- Click your company's name for the company menu: switch companies, invite people, or sign out.
- The ? Help menu includes Ask a question (a chat that answers from these help articles), the Help center, Take the tour, Get set up, Construction terms (plain meanings for trade words) and Keyboard shortcuts. See Take the guided tour.
- ⌘K, or /, opens search.
On your phone
There's nothing to install. Open sorabuild.com in your phone's browser. The bottom bar has Today, Projects, Calendar, + (add a task or update one) and More.

- Keyboard shortcutsPress ? anywhere to see every shortcut. The handiest are ⌘K (Ctrl K) to search, C for a new task, G then a letter to jump (G P for Projects, G C for Calendar), and 1 to 5 to switch schedule layouts.
- Schedule views: list, board, calendar, timelineEvery schedule has five layouts: List, Board, Calendar, Timeline (Gantt on commercial projects) and Table. Switch with the layout button above the schedule, or press 1 to 5. Quick views, Filters and Display change what you see, never the schedule itself.
