Schedule templates
A schedule template is a reusable set of phases, tasks, trades, durations and links. Pick one when you create a project and every task is laid out from your start date. Find and manage them under Planning › Schedule templates.
Sora Build comes with built-in templates, such as Single-family home and Medical office building. Add your own three ways:
- Save schedule as template in a project's … menu. Phases, tasks, trades, durations and links are copied. Dates, people and progress are not.
- New template › Blank home template or Blank commercial template, then add tasks in the editor.
- New template › Upload a file for a schedule from Excel, MS Project or Primavera. See Import a schedule.
Use a template
- Click Use template to start a new project with it, or pick it in the New project steps.
- On a project whose schedule is still empty, choose Use a schedule template.
Manage templates
Open a template to see every phase and task. From there:
- Customize a built-in one for your team. Reset to default undoes your changes.
- Edit, Duplicate, Archive or Delete your own.
- Download CSV to work on it in a spreadsheet.
Deleting a template doesn't touch projects already built from it. The Office, Admin and Owner roles manage templates; Field and Viewer can't create or change them.
