In short
- A builder invited you to follow a project, answer something, or pay an invoice in Sora Build. Using it is free for you.
- Your contract for the work is with the builder, not with us. Sora Build is the tool they use to keep you informed.
- Online payments are processed by Stripe and go straight to the builder. Questions about a charge go to the builder first.
- Keep your invite and invoice links private: anyone with a link can open what it points to.
This summary is here to help. The full text below is what applies.

1. Who these terms are for
These terms apply to you if you use Sora Build because a company (the "builder") invited you, and you aren't a seat in that company's workspace. That includes homeowners and home buyers, building owners and owners' representatives, trade partners and suppliers, and anyone who opens an invoice or project link.
By accepting an invitation, signing in, or using a link, you agree to these terms, our Acceptable Use Policy and our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service for your own company's work, the Terms of Service apply to that instead.
2. Your relationship with the builder
Asterpolaris provides the software. We aren't a party to your contract with the builder, and we don't perform, supervise, inspect or guarantee the work. Schedules, dates, progress and costs shown to you come from the builder and may change.
The builder decides what you can see and do, and can remove your access at any time. Questions about the project, the schedule, an invoice or a payment should go to the builder.
3. Approvals, messages and uploads
When you approve or decline something, send a message, or upload a photo or file, the builder and the people they allow will see it, along with your name and the time. We keep a record of it as part of the project's history.
An approval in the Service records your answer to what was shown to you. Whether it changes your contract depends on that contract and the law. If you're unsure, ask the builder for the formal change order or document.
Only upload things you have the right to share, and don't post other people's private information without their permission.
4. Paying an invoice
If the builder takes payments online, you can pay their invoice by card or bank, where offered. Payments are processed by Stripe under Stripe's terms and privacy policy, and go directly to the builder's Stripe account. We don't receive or hold your money.
Bank payments can take several business days to complete, and may fail if the account can't cover them. The builder receives a receipt and the invoice shows as paid once the payment succeeds.
For refunds, disputes or a charge you don't recognize, contact the builder first. You may also have rights through your card issuer or bank.
5. Links and access
Invitations, invoice links and trade partner links give access to what they point to. Don't forward them to anyone who shouldn't have that access. If you think a link has reached the wrong person, tell the builder so they can remove or replace it.
6. Your information
The builder added your name and contact details and controls the project information about you. We process it for them, as our Privacy Policy explains. You can ask the builder, or us, to correct or remove it.
7. Disclaimers and limits
The Service is provided to you free and "as is". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties about it and aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the builder's work, dates, prices or conduct. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer-protection law where you live.
These terms are governed by the laws of the province of Canada in which we have our principal place of business, and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
