Clients and the portal
What your client sees
Your client sees their own project's progress, task names, dates and status, the approvals you ask for, and messages and comments you share with them. They never see prices, internal comments, your team or other projects. Invoices reach them only through their own payment link.
In the portal
Your client signs in and sees Your projects. Each project shows:
- Progress, Tasks done, when it Started and the Target finish.
- Happening now and Coming up.
- Your decisions: the approvals you've asked for.
- Messages: the project conversation.
- The whole schedule, with each task's name, dates, status and progress.
What stays with you
- Prices, scope, contract values and the Billing tab.
- Task comments marked Internal, which is the default.
- Your team, your Directory and your other projects.
Task comments you switch to Shared with client (or owner) show up for them. The project conversation on the Client tab is always shared. See Comments and messages.
Invoices aren't in the portal. Your client gets each invoice by email, with its own link to view and pay it. See How clients pay an invoice online.
