Documents and designs
Post a new version of a document
Open the document and click New version, then choose the updated file and say What changed. It becomes the current version, every earlier one stays in Versions to download, and tasks it's attached to show the new one automatically.
- Open the project's Documents tab (or the company library) and click the document.
- Click New version.
- Choose the new file. It can be a different file type from the last one.
- Under What changed, write a short note, like "Rev C: moved the island 6 inches". It's optional, and shows in the history.
- Click Save.
The history
The Versions list shows each version's number, file name, who uploaded it, when, and its size, with the newest marked Current. Download any version from its row. Lists show the version number next to each document's name, like v3.
Who can post a version
Anyone who can upload to that project can post a new version: Field users and up on projects they work on, and outside designers on projects they're invited to. In the company library, it's Office and up.
An archived document takes no new versions. Restore it first.
