Documents and designs
Attach documents to a task
Open the task and go to its Documents section. Pick a document under Attach a document… and click Attach, or click Upload a new document. The crew sees the latest version on the task, one tap to download, and a new version shows there on its own.
From the task
- Open the task from the schedule.
- Scroll to Documents.
- Pick one under Attach a document…. This project's documents and the Company library are listed separately.
- Click Attach. Or click Upload a new document to upload one straight onto the task.
From the document
Open the document from the Documents tab. Under Attached to, choose a task and click Attach. You can also pick a task under Attach to a task when you first upload it.
What the crew sees
Each attached document shows its name, version and category, with a button to download it. It's always the current version: when someone posts a new one, the task shows it without anyone re-attaching it.
Good to know
- A project's documents attach only to that project's tasks. Company library documents attach to any task in the company, from the task.
- Anyone who can edit the task can attach documents, outside designers included. Viewers can't.
- To take one off, click the × next to it. Office and up can take off any document; anyone else, the ones they attached. The document itself stays.
